Shot Blasting Strengthening Machine
The shot blasting strengthening machine is a specialized piece of equipment independently developed by our company for the surface treatment of leaf springs, circular springs, crankshafts, connecting rods, and gears. The primary applications include shot blasting strengthening processes for these components as well as wheel hubs. Through shot blasting strengthening, the fatigue resistance life of the workpiece can be effectively extended.
During the process, steel shots ejected from the shot blasting machine are projected onto the surface of the workpiece without inducing compressive or tensile stress, thereby achieving a regional distribution of pressure and tension. When the ejection speed reaches 80-90 m/s, it creates uniform indentations on the workpiece surface. Beneath the surface, the metal undergoes deformation due to the balance of forces, generating internal compressive stress. On the upper layer, this pressure acts tangentially and vertically on the surface. On the lower layer, the induced tension causes permanent deformation, which is smaller than the deformation caused by the compressive force. Workpieces requiring shot blasting hardening must complete initial stress relief before use. Surface strengthening ensures consistent stress distribution. Especially during continuous strengthening, surface tension is reduced, which explains why shot blasting strengthening enhances the fatigue strength of metals.
The spring shot blasting machine offers the following advantages
1. It utilizes the fourth-generation cantilever centrifugal curved blade shot blasting machine with high ejection speed, enabling steel shot velocities of up to 80-90 m/s.
2. The separator employs SiBE-type full curtain separator technology and is equipped with a three-layer screen rotary vibrating screen to ensure uniform steel shot particle size and optimal shot blasting strengthening results.
3. The shot circulation systems in the shot blasting strengthening machines all incorporate automatic detection devices.
When using the spring shot blasting strengthening machine, the following conditions must be met:
1. The feeding speed of the workpiece can be adjusted within a wide range.
2. For parts with special shot blasting requirements or specific Almen values and coverage ranges, the machine can adjust the rotation and conveying speeds, ensuring process reliability at all times.
3. Continuous feeding operations are simple, safe, and suitable for fully automated production.
4. Parameters can be adjusted according to the specific parts being processed.
5. Peripheral equipment for material loading and unloading can supplement and enhance the shot blasting system, ensuring high performance and cost-effectiveness.
6. During feeding, process safety is ensured through part tracking, allowing continuous feeding without intermediate buffering and making it adaptable to automated production processes.
7. Feeding speed and residence time can be adjusted to ensure the safety and cost consistency of the specific shot blasting process.
8. A high-performance separation system maintains the working steel shot within the ideal nominal size.
9. Loading and unloading can be performed manually, via feeding modules, mechanical arms, industrial robots, or a combination of these methods.
10. The spring shot blasting strengthening machine can be arranged in either a single-thread or assembly line layout.
