Characteristics of the Steel Plate Pretreatment Line

 

The QXY steel plate pretreatment line is a specialized device designed to perform surface shot blasting for rust removal on steel plates and profiles prior to welding processing, followed by the application of a protective primer layer. The QXY steel plate pretreatment line primarily comprises modules for steel preheating, shot blasting rust removal, painting, drying, and other related processes.

The shot blasting and rust removal module employs a cantilever centrifugal shot blasting machine, a full-curtain shot and sand separator, as well as a two-stage cleaning system featuring specially designed high-strength nylon roller brushes and high-pressure fans for efficient shot cleaning. The preheating and drying module utilizes various heating methods (electricity, gas, fuel oil, etc.). The painting module adopts a high-pressure airless spraying technique. The entire production line is centrally controlled via an industrial control computer (PLC), making it a representative mechatronic product.

The steel plate pretreatment line is widely applied in industries such as steel mills, shipbuilding, offshore drilling platforms, locomotives, anti-corrosion projects, and bridge construction. Pretreatment of steel plates enhances their corrosion resistance and fatigue strength while extending their service life. Additionally, due to the relatively regular shape of steel plates before processing, this facilitates mechanical rust removal and automated painting. Consequently, the use of a steel plate pretreatment line significantly improves the efficiency of rust removal operations, reduces labor intensity, and minimizes environmental pollution.

 

Process Flow of the Steel Plate Pretreatment Line

 

Steel plate feeding → Steel plate preheating (optional) → Shot blasting treatment → Shot cleaning → Automatic painting → Paint drying (electric heating, fuel heating, or gas heating) → Steel plate unloading.
