Advantages and Classification of Chain-Type Shot Blasting Machine

01
The advantages of chain-type shot blasting machines lie in their ability for large-scale continuous operation and flexible automated control. They are mainly classified into three categories: continuous type, step type, and accumulation type.
Main Usage Advantages
The chain-type shot blasting machine combines the characteristics of the hook type and the through type, making it suitable for batch processing of medium-sized workpieces. Its specific advantages include:
Efficient continuous production: It supports continuous passage or step-by-step transportation, and the workpieces can rotate freely in the shot blasting chamber, achieving uniform cleaning in all directions, significantly improving efficiency.
Flexibility and Automation: Controlled by PLC, it can achieve "throwing when there is a workpiece, not throwing when there is no workpiece" automatic detection. The movement of the chain is flexible, meeting the requirements of fixed-point loading and unloading.
Adaptability: A single point can lift and cover 50 to 2000 kg of workpieces, capable of handling engine cylinder blocks and other castings, as well as gears, hardware parts, and even fragile or collision-sensitive workpieces safely.
Durable and Environmentally Friendly Structure: The shot blasting chamber often uses high-manganese protective plates (Mn13), combined with efficient full-screen curtain separators (with a separation efficiency of up to 99%) and pulse reverse-blow dust removal systems, ensuring equipment lifespan and environmental compliance.
Classification by Chain Movement:
According to the movement and transportation logic of the chain, it is mainly divided into the following three types:
1. Q38 Series: Continuous Passage Type
Operating Characteristics: Workpieces move continuously and uniformly through the shot blasting chamber, advancing, rotating, and cleaning simultaneously.
Applicable Scenarios: Pursuing extremely high production efficiency, with relatively standard workpiece shapes and a single variety of large-scale cleaning.
2. Q48 Series: Chain Step Passage Type
Operating Characteristics: The hooks are grouped (usually in sets of 2-3 hooks) and operate in a rhythm. The rhythm is: loading → waiting → shot blasting (rotation) → waiting → unloading -.
Applicable Scenarios: Requires sufficient cleaning time, heavy workpieces or high single-piece value, and strict requirements for cleaning quality consistency.
3. Q58 Series: Accumulation Chain Type
Operating Characteristics: Uses accumulation push-type chains. The small vehicle can be parked at the loading area, in front of the shot blasting chamber, or at the unloading area for fixed-point waiting, enabling parallel operation of loading and unloading and shot blasting.
Applicable Scenarios: The most flexible in production organization, suitable for complex production rhythms with multiple workpiece varieties, long loading and unloading times, or the need to store workpieces.
